            Baseball Preview: Redmond Mustangs vs. Bothell Cougars        
        
		
        
        
            The Redmond Mustangs are taking a road trip to  square off against the Bothell Cougars  at 5:00  p.m.  on Friday. Redmond will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.
Redmond took a six-run  loss the last time they faced off against Hazen, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Mustangs had just enough and edged out the Highlanders  3-2 on Wednesday.

 Sean Laizans looked comfortable as he  pitched one inning while giving up   no  earned runs or  hits. What's more,  he posted three  strikeouts, the most he's  had since back in April of 2024.
 At the plate,  Lance Burt was  excellent,  scoring a  run and  stealing a base while going 3-for-3. He has been hot recently, having  posted  at least one  stolen base the last three times he's  played.
Meanwhile, Bothell didn't have quite enough to beat Lake Stevens on Wednesday and fell  4-3.
 Bothell saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Brady Stutz, who  went 2-for-3 with one  stolen base and one  RBI. That  stolen base was  Stutz's first of the season.
 Redmond now  has a winning record of 7-6. As for Bothell, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-5.
 Redmond came out on top in a nail-biter against Bothell in their previous meeting  back in March, sneaking past  8-6. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Mustangs since the  squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
