Football Recap: Pinckneyville Comes Up Short

Pinckneyville lost against Chester back in September of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Panthers were dealt a 53-7 defeat at the hands of the Yellowjackets.

Trayton Peters was nothing short of spectacular for Chester: he threw for 182 yards and five touchdowns while completing 92.9% of his passes.

Pinckneyville's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Chester, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Pinckneyville will take on Dupo at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Chester, they will face off against Frankfort at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
