Basketball Game Preview: Eastern Musketeers vs. Charlestown Pirates

The Eastern Musketeers will venture away from home to challenge the Charlestown Pirates at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Eastern is coming into the game on a three-game losing streak.

Eastern is headed into the match out to prove that what happened against Silver Creek on Tuesday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. Eastern took a blow against Silver Creek, falling 81-39. While losing is never fun, the Musketeers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 382nd, while the Dragons are ranked 14th).

Meanwhile, Charlestown beat Madison 67-58 on Tuesday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Pirates.

Charlestown's win bumped their record up to 10-2. As for Eastern, their loss dropped their record down to 3-9.

Eastern came up short against Charlestown when the teams last played back in February of 2024, falling 63-59. Can Eastern avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
