Soccer Preview: Westfield vs. East Central
The Westfield Shamrocks will challenge the East Central Trojans at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday.
On Thursday, Westfield came up short against Carmel and fell 3-1. The defeat continues a trend for the Shamrocks in their matchups with the Greyhounds: they've now lost four in a row.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask East Central). They never let Rushville onto the board and left with an 11-0 win on Wednesday. Considering the Trojans have won six matches by more than two goals this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.
Westfield's loss dropped their record down to 4-2-3. As for East Central, their victory bumped their record up to 7-3.
