Basketball Recap: Joaquin's Loss Ends Four-Game Winning Streak on the Road

Joaquin lost against Timpson back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Joaquin Rams fell to the Timpson Bears 40-35. The Rams have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

When it comes to explaining why Joaquin lost, don't look at Sevana Stotts. Despite the final result, she dropped a double-double on 19 points and 11 boards. Stotts is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as she's now pulled down nine or more in the last four games she's played.

Timpson found their leader in sophomore Taylor Stewart, who posted nine points along with eight boards and five steals. Another player making a difference was Maliah Norris, who put up 12 points and seven rebounds.

Joaquin's defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 11-13. As for Timpson, they pushed their record up to 15-13 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home.

Joaquin has already played their next match (against Waskom), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Timpson wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 62-43 victory against Gary on the 24th.
