The matchup between Riverdale Baptist and Georgetown Prep on Saturday hardly resembled the 2-1 effort from their previous meeting. The Crusaders took a 12-7 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Little Hoyas. The Crusaders' loss signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

DIXON MONK made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole a base while going 3-for-3. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was JAYDEN JOHNSON, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-3.

Riverdale Baptist's defeat dropped their record down to 9-4. As for Georgetown Prep, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 6-5.

Riverdale Baptist and Georgetown Prep should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Maryland Rankings. The Crusaders (ranked 35th) will meet Avalon (ranked 110th) at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Georgetown Prep will face off against Episcopal at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday with a big rank advantage (46 vs. 164).
