Preview: Lake Region Thunder vs. Davenport Broncos
The Lake Region Thunder will be playing in front of their home fans against the Davenport Broncos at 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday. One thing working in Lake Region's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last seven matchups.
Even though Lake Region has not done well against Ridge Community recently (they were 1-7 in their previous eight matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Saturday. Lake Region came out on top against Ridge Community by a score of 58-45.
It was another big night for Dwayne Lattimore, who scored 24 points. Devan Booker was another key contributor, scoring 11 points.
Meanwhile, Davenport's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Monday after their fifth straight loss. They fell just short of Matanzas by a score of 62-59. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss Davenport has suffered since December 12, 2023.
Lake Region now has a winning record of 9-8. As for Davenport, they now have a losing record at 7-8.
Lake Region strolled past Davenport when the teams last played back in January of 2023 by a score of 90-75. Will Lake Region repeat their success, or does Davenport have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
