Softball Recap: Eagan Beats Eastview for Their Third Straight Win

Eagan had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Monday. They never let the Eastview Lightning get on the board and left with an 11-0 victory. While the Wildcats didn't have the best season last year (they finished 9-13), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Jocelyn McClary made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with three RBI, one run, and one double.

In other batting news, Eagan let Izzy Anderson and Lauren Larson run wild. Anderson went 2-for-3 with two runs and one RBI, while Larson went a perfect 1-for-1 with two RBI and one run. Those runs marked the first that Anderson has scored this season.

Eagan's record is now 6-3. As for Eastview, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-4.

Eagan has already played their next contest, a 7-2 loss against Farmington on the 29th. As for Eastview, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, an 8-4 defeat against Chaska on the 29th.
