Baseball Recap: Poudre Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Poudre can now relate to. They fell just short of the Grandview Wolves by a score of 2-1 on Saturday. The Impalas were not able to make up for their defeat to the Wolves from their previous meeting back in May of 2019.

Poudre saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brett Lamb, who went 2-for-3 with one RBI.

Poudre's loss dropped their record down to 12-12. As for Grandview, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-4 record this season.

Poudre does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Grandview, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 15-2 win against Pueblo West on the 17th.
