Basketball Recap: Urbana Takes a Loss

If Urbana was feeling good fresh off their 56-27 takedown of Jonathan Alder last Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Urbana Hillclimbers fell 50-42 to the Legacy Christian Academy Knights on Tuesday. The Hillclimbers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Knights apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in January of 2024.

Despite the loss, Urbana still got an impressive performance from Peyton Mounce, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 14 rebounds. The match was Mounce's 15th in a row with at least ten points. Alexandra Dixon was another key player, going 6 for 10 on her way to 17 points.

Urbana's defeat dropped their record down to 15-4. As for Legacy Christian Academy, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 15-1.

Urbana will be playing in front of their home fans against Bellefontaine at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday. Urbana is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 51.5 points per game this season. Legacy Christian Academy has already played their next game (against Miami Valley), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
