Basketball Game Preview: Celina Bobcats vs. Lake Dallas Falcons

The Celina Bobcats will head out to square off against the Lake Dallas Falcons at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Celina knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past four games -- so hopefully Lake Dallas likes a good challenge.

It was a proper cat-fight when Celina took on Panther Creek on Friday. 2025 welcomed Celina with an 83-59 loss courtesy of Panther Creek. The Bobcats' loss signaled the end of their five-game winning streak.

Meanwhile, Lake Dallas waltzed into their contest on Friday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They secured a 65-61 W over the Indians. The win was all the more spectacular given the Falcons' disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 361st, while the Indians are ranked 116th).

Lake Dallas is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 12-11 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.3 points per game. As for Celina, their defeat dropped their record down to 15-10.

Celina lost to Lake Dallas on the road by a decisive 52-36 margin in their previous matchup back in December of 2021. Can Celina avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
