Basketball Recap: Andrew Jackson's Higher State Rank on Full Display on Wednesday

Andrew Jackson won the last time they faced ED White and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Andrew Jackson Tigers walked away with a 46-39 victory over the ED White Commanders. Given the Tigers' advantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 102nd, while the Commanders are ranked 259th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Despite the loss, ED White still got an impressive performance from Leandrea Mccloud, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 15 rebounds. Mccloud is on a roll when it comes to boards, as she's now pulled down 12 or more in the last three games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Kyra Jackson, who posted eight points and three steals.

Andrew Jackson has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 13-5 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.6 points per game. As for ED White, their loss dropped their record down to 9-12.

Andrew Jackson didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 72-60 defeat against Ribault on the 17th. ED White has also already played their next contest, a 47-15 win against Middleburg on the 17th.
