West Mecklenburg won the last time they faced Garinger and things went their way on Monday too. The Hawks came out on top against the Wildcats by a score of 6-1. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Hawks.

Allen German made a splash no matter where he played. On the mound, he struck out six batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits (and not a single walk). That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in April of 2024. He was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while going 1-for-2.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Jameel Tahir, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases, one triple, and one run. That's the most hits he has posted since back in March. Anthony Echevarria was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI.

West Mecklenburg lost a few balls and finished the game with two home runs. That's the most home runs they've managed all season.

West Mecklenburg's win bumped their record up to 13-5. As for Garinger, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-13.

Coming up, West Mecklenburg will take on Berry at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Hawks' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Cardinals have averaged an impressive 8.3 runs per game this season. As for Garinger, they will venture away from home to square off against Rocky River at 6:00 p.m. on the 22nd.
