Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Gardendale). They put the hurt on the Mortimer Jordan Blue Devils with a sharp 17-6 victory on Thursday. The result was nothing new for the Rockets, who have now won eight matches by eight runs or more so far this season.

Gardendale pushed their record up to 15-10 with the win, which was their sixth straight on the road. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.5 runs on average over those games. As for Mortimer Jordan, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-11 record this season.

When Gardendale and Mortimer Jordan next hit the field, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. Gardendale will challenge Lindsay Lane Christian Academy and their three-game winning streak at 8:00 a.m. on Monday. Similarly, Mortimer Jordan will try to stop Plainview's five-game winning streak when they meet at 6:00 p.m. on March 28th.
