Basketball Recap: Unity's Losing Streak Snapped at Seven Games

Unity had to endure a seven-game losing streak dating back to last season, but that streak is no more. They secured a 35-29 W over the Grantsburg Pirates on Tuesday. This was payback for the Eagles, who suffered a 56-34 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Unity's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-5. As for Grantsburg, they are on a seven-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-5.

Unity will take on Shell Lake in a holiday battle at at 5:45 p.m. on Friday. Shell Lake will roll in looking for their seventh straight win, something Unity surely won't give up without a fight. Grantsburg and Northwood will compete for holiday cheer at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
