Basketball Game Preview: Wiley Panthers vs. La Veta Redhawks

Having just played yesterday, the Wiley Panthers will head out on the road to face off against the La Veta Redhawks at 2:00 p.m. on Friday.

It was a proper cat-fight when Wiley duked it out with McClave on Thursday. Wiley was dealt a 62-34 loss at the hands of McClave. The defeat continues a trend for the Panthers in their matchups with the Cardinals: they've now lost six in a row.

Meanwhile, La Veta waltzed into their matchup on Tuesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They claimed a resounding 63-36 victory over the Wildcats. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win the Redhawks have posted since January 9th.

Wiley better keep an eye on Tristan Musgrave. He was instrumental in La Veta's win, going 10-for-18 en route to 22 points along with seven boards and four blocks. The dominant performance gave Musgrave a new career-high in points. Another player making a difference was Isiah Rodriguez, who went 7-for-16 to rack up 20 points.

La Veta's victory bumped their record up to 8-11. As for Wiley, their loss dropped their record down to 11-10.
