Volleyball Recap: Metamora Beats Washington for Their Fourth Straight Win

Metamora waltzed into their contest on Thursday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Washington Panthers. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Redbirds have posted since September 2nd.

Metamora had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next two. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 20-25, 25-19, 25-22.

Metamora's win bumped their record up to 15-6. As for Washington, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 15-11.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Metamora will take on rival Morton at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Washington is set to face off against their familiar foe Pekin at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
