Football Recap: Norwell Knights vs. Mississinewa Indians

Norwell unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They had to suffer through a 35-0 loss at the hands of the Mississinewa Indians. Sadly, the defeat continues a streak the team started last season, making it six in a row.

Mississinewa's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Levi Crandall, who rushed for 80 yards and two scores on only nine carries. The Indians also got a significant boost from Ah'Lijah Monday, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 118 yards.

Looking ahead, Norwell will hit the road for the first time this season to take on Oak Hill at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Mississinewa, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Marion at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
