 The Notre Dame Spirits will head out on the road to  take on  the Monterey Dores at 4:00  p.m.  on Wednesday. Notre Dame's pitching crew has only allowed 2.9  runs per game  this season, so Monterey's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
 On Monday, it was a hard-fought  matchup, but Notre Dame had to settle for  a  5-4 loss against Everett Alvarez. Notre Dame has now  taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
 Meanwhile, Monterey won against Notre Dame  on Thursday with two  runs and they decided to stick to that  run total again  on Monday. Monterey's pitcher stepped up to hand Salinas  a   2-0 shutout. The  win made it back-to-back  victories for Monterey.
 The result came thanks to  Ella Myers's shutout, as she gave up just four  hits and racked up 11 Ks. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't  pitched less than five  innings in six consecutive pitching appearances.
