Basketball Game Preview: Box Elder Bees vs. Woods Cross Wildcats

Box Elder and Woods Cross are an even 5-5 against one another since February of 2020, but not for long. The Box Elder Bees will be playing in front of their home fans against the Woods Cross Wildcats at 5:15 p.m. on Wednesday. The timing isn't great for Box Elder: they have been struggling with five straight losses at home, while Woods Cross has snatched up three consecutive wins on the road.

Box Elder is headed into the game out to prove that what happened against Bountiful on Friday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. Box Elder had to suffer through a 78-24 loss at the hands of Bountiful. The Bees were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 54-9.

Meanwhile, Woods Cross was able to grind out a solid victory over Bonneville on Friday, taking the game 49-42.

Woods Cross has also been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 11-6 record this season. As for Box Elder, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-16.

Box Elder opened the new year with a less-than-successful 57-48 loss to Woods Cross. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Woods Cross' Kiyomi Tauataina, who almost dropped a double-double on 20 points and nine boards.
