Ethel and Leake County are an even 3-3 against one another since October of 2015, but not for long. The Tigers will head out on the road to challenge the Gators at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Ethel will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.

On Friday, Ethel strolled past McAdams with points to spare, taking the game 28-14.

Meanwhile, Leake County fought the good fight in their overtime matchup against Nanih Waiya on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell 20-14 to the Warriors. The Gators haven't had much luck with the Warriors recently, as the team has come up short the last six times they've met.

Ethel will need to focus on slowing down Davion Townsend, one of several Leake County players who made an impact when they last played. He rushed for 117 yards on only 11 carries, and also threw for 130 yards while completing 72.2% of his passes. Another player making a difference was Mashawn Leflore, who gained 136 total yards and a touchdown.

Ethel's victory bumped their record up to 5-1. As for Leake County, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-5.

Everything came up roses for Ethel against Leake County in their previous meeting back in September of 2022, as the squad secured a 56-20 win. Do the Tigers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Gators turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
