Basketball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Kadrien Deary and TJ Whybrew Lead Taylor to Victory

Taylor hadn't done well against Jarrell recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Taylor Ducks walked away with a 57-45 victory over the Jarrell Cougars. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 51-46 back in December of 2024.

Leading Taylor to victory were TJ Whybrew and Kadrien Deary. Whybrew went 8 for 11 on his way to 18 points and six boards, while Deary went 6 of 10 en route to 14 points and six rebounds. What's more, Whybrew also posted a 73% shooting accuracy, which is the highest he's posted since back in November of 2024. Dayton Kennedy was another key player, putting up seven points.

Taylor's record now sits at 12-15. As for Jarrell, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-20.

Taylor does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Jarrell, they will challenge Burnet at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
