Softball Recap: Princeton Comes Up Short

Princeton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 11th straight defeat. They lost 12-0 to the McKinney Lions. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Lions this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 11-9 back in March.

Princeton's loss dropped their record down to 4-17-1. As for McKinney, the victory snapped their losing streak at seven games and leaves them with a 3-21-1 record.

Princeton and McKinney could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings. The Panthers (ranked 904th) will meet Allen (ranked 260th) at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, McKinney will square off against Plano West at 7:15 p.m. on Friday with a big rank disadvantage (772 vs. 202).
