Baseball Game Preview: Hemlock Huskies vs. Michigan Lutheran Seminary Cardinals

Hemlock has gone 9-1 against Michigan Lutheran Seminary recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Monday. The Huskies will take on the Cardinals at 4:00 p.m. Hemlock will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak.

For some reason, the away team has come away with the win the last four times Hemlock and Valley Lutheran have met, but the home crowd finally got their W on Friday. The Huskies had just enough and edged out the Chargers 8-7.

Michigan Lutheran Seminary hadn't beaten Carrollton on the road since May 17, 2019 but that history sure didn't bother them on Friday. The Cardinals walked away with a 9-4 win over the Cavaliers. The victory was familiar territory for the Cardinals, who have now won four games in a row.

Will Salgat was excellent, going 3-for-4 with three runs and one RBI. Owen Mason was another key player, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two RBI.

Hemlock's win bumped their record up to 14-2. As for Michigan Lutheran Seminary, their victory bumped their record up to 8-5.

Hemlock took their win against Michigan Lutheran Seminary in their previous meeting back in April by a conclusive 11-1 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Huskies since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
