Volleyball Recap: Winner Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Winner, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Saturday. They put the hurt on the White River Tigers with a sharp 3-0 victory on Monday. That's more bragging rights for the Warriors, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Winner was especially dominant in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 25-10, 25-19.

Lilly Barfuss paced Winner's offense, picking up 15 kills. Barfuss got some help from Gracie Root and her 39 assists. Livvy Audiss controlled things from the service line, finishing with six aces.

Winner pushed their record up to 15-4 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. As for White River, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-11 record this season.

Winner will be playing at home against Mobridge-Pollock at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for White River, after both having extra time off, they and Todd County will shake off the rust and duke it out on Tuesday.
