Carondelet and James Logan squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but Carondelet had to settle for second. They fell 3-1 to the Colts. The Cougars' defeat signaled the end of their eight-game winning streak.

While Carondelet had to settle for second, they sure made a game of it, scoring at least 19 points in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 25-21, 17-25, 25-22.

Despite the loss, Carondelet saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Lauren Kim had three digs and two aces. Kim is also on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 14 or more in each of the last five games she's played.

James Logan can attribute much of their success to Emma Tran, who had 16 digs and two aces. That's the most aces Tran has posted since back in October.

Carondelet's defeat dropped their record down to 28-10. As for James Logan, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 14 of their last 16 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 27-8 record this season.

Carondelet does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for James Logan, they have already played their next match, a 3-2 win against Del Oro on the 13th.
