Softball Recap: Round Rock Comes Up Short

The home team had won the previous two meetings between Round Rock and Hutto, and Hutto kept the tradition alive. The Dragons lost 8-1 to the Hippos on Monday. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Hippos this season, with their most recent defeat being a 3-0 loss on April 1st.

Round Rock's loss dropped their record down to 13-10. As for Hutto, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 12-11 record this season.

Round Rock does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Hutto, they will welcome Del Valle at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Cardinals will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each game than the last.
