Baseball Recap: Alamogordo Comes Up Short

Alamogordo was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 13th straight loss. They took a 6-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Las Cruces Bulldawgs. The Tigers were not able to make up for their defeat to the Bulldawgs from their previous meeting back in April of 2024.

Kade Kiss made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI. That double marked the first that he has hit this season. Ryan Maclin was another key player, getting on base in two of his three plate appearances with one stolen base and one run.

Alamogordo's loss dropped their record down to 7-14. As for Las Cruces, their record is now 16-5.

While Alamogordo had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
