Basketball Recap: Gatesville Takes a Loss

Gatesville lost against Jarrell last Tuesday and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Gatesville Hornets fell 49-40 to the Jarrell Cougars.

Gatesville has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-5 record this season. As for Jarrell, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 12-5 record this season.

Gatesville and Jarrell should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings. Gatesville (ranked 435th) will meet C.H. Yoe (ranked 1028th) at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday. Meanwhile, Jarrell will take on Mason at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday up 411 places (304 vs. 715).
