Cimarron extends road losing streak to nine

If the Cimarron Bluejays were feeling good off their 75-3 takedown of the Chase Kats last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Cimarron fell just short of Macksville by a score of 53-50. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat Cimarron has suffered yet this season.

It was another big night for Diego Esparza, who scored 20 points for Macksville. Hector Gomez was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with six rebounds and two steals.

Cimarron bumped their record down to 3-8 with that defeat, which was their ninth straight on the road. As for Macksville, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season.

Cimarron will head out on the road to face off against Scott at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Macksville, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Central Plains at 8:00 p.m.
