Basketball Recap: Lakota Tech Piles Up the Points Against Tiospaye Topa

On Wednesday, Lakota Tech faced Tiospaye Topa in a battle between two of the state's top teams. The Lakota Tech Tatanka breezed by the Tiospaye Topa Thunderhawks to the tune of 78-46.

Lakota Tech's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Lizzie Robinson, who went 10 for 24 on her way to 23 points in addition to seven rebounds and four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Angeliyah Big Boy, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and ten boards.

Lakota Tech was working as a unit and finished the game with 20 assists. That's the most assists they've posted since the start of last season.

The win got Lakota Tech back to even at 1-1. As for Tiospaye Topa, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 2-1.

Lakota Tech wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 56-43 victory against McLaughlin on the 19th. As for Tiospaye Topa, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 60-50 win against Little Wound on the 19th.
