Basketball Recap: St. John Paul II Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

St. John Paul II can bid farewell to their five-game losing streak thanks to their game on Friday. They strolled past the Whitesburg Christian Academy Warriors with points to spare, taking the game 55-40. The Falcons have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Warriors, too.

St. John Paul II's victory bumped their record up to 7-11. As for Whitesburg Christian Academy, their loss ended a six-game streak of away wins and brought them to 14-5.

It'll be a Battle of the Birds when the St. John Paul II Falcons duke it out with the Athens Golden Eagles at 3:00 p.m. on Monday. Athens is on a four-game streak of home losses, St. John Paul II a four-game streak of away losses, but someone's luck will change. As for Whitesburg Christian Academy, they will welcome Section at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
