Soccer Game Preview: Montverde Academy vs. Creekside

Montverde Academy has won eight straight games at home, while Creekside has won eight straight on the road, but those streaks won't matter much on Saturday. The Montverde Academy Eagles will host the Creekside Knights at 12:00 p.m. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Montverde Academy is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Florida's top teams: Ponte Vedra, who was ranked fourth at the time (Montverde Academy was ranked second). Montverde Academy was the clear victor by a 4-1 margin over Ponte Vedra on Friday. The result was nothing new for the Eagles, who have now won ten contests by three goals or more so far this season.

Meanwhile, Creekside kept a clean sheet against Bishop Moore on Friday. They had just enough and edged the Hornets out 1-0. Give the Knights' defense some credit: that's the team's third straight shutout.

Montverde Academy's victory bumped their record up to 15-0. As for Creekside, their win bumped their record up to 13-0-1.
