Basketball Game Preview: Crescent Loggers vs. Quilcene Rangers

Crescent is 2-8 against Quilcene since December of 2014 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Wednesday. The Crescent Loggers will take on the Quilcene Rangers in a holiday battle at at 5:30 p.m.

Crescent came up into this matchup off a tough 35-point defeat last Saturday. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of Ocosta by a score of 29-26 on Saturday. The Loggers' loss continues a trend for the team, making it four in a row.

Meanwhile, Quilcene hadn't done well against Clallam Bay recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Monday. The stars were shining brightly for Quilcene in a 35-21 win over Clallam Bay. The Rangers' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Quilcene's victory ended a five-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-4. As for Crescent, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-4.

Everything came up roses for Crescent against Quilcene in their previous matchup back in December of 2023, as the squad secured a 50-12 win. In that contest, Crescent amassed a halftime lead of 26-2, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Wednesday.
