Soccer Recap: Rancho Cucamonga Victorious

Rancho Cucamonga hadn't done well against Los Osos recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Rancho Cucamonga Cougars sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 victory over the Los Osos Grizzlies. Given the Cougars' advantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 131st, while the Grizzlies are ranked 458th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Javier Vasquez and Jayden Riley scored both of Rancho Cucamonga's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 11 goals.

Rancho Cucamonga's record now sits at 7-3-1. As for Los Osos, they now have a losing record at 3-4-3.
