Basketball Game Preview: Monroe Central Seminoles vs. Warren Warriors

The Monroe Central Seminoles will face off against the Warren Warriors at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Warren took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Monroe Central, who comes in off a win.

Monroe Central is headed into the match having just posted their biggest win since February 21, 2024 on Monday. They took their game with ease, bagging a 67-32 victory over Buckeye Trail. Given the Seminoles' advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 197th, while the Warriors are ranked 513th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Warren was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 48-38 to Martins Ferry.

Warren's defeat dropped their record down to 9-9. As for Monroe Central, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 13-8.
