Volleyball Recap: Catholic Central Comes Up Short

Catholic Central extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to 15 on Tuesday, dropping them down to 0-14. They came up short against the Weir Red Riders, falling 3-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Red Riders this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-1 back in August.

As for Weir, they moved to 3-11-1 with that victory, which also ended their six-game losing streak. That three set margin sets a new team best for them this season.

Among those leading the charge was Kaylee Webster, who had eight digs and two aces. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in assists (six). MaKenna Potock also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assists of the season.

Looking ahead, Catholic Central will challenge Steubenville at 6:45 p.m. on Thursday. As for Weir, they will square off against Wheeling Central Catholic at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
