Softball Recap: Diagonal Comes Up Short

Diagonal was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 13th straight loss. They lost 20-5 to the Mormon Trail Saints. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Maroons of the 15-5 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in June of 2020.

Diagonal's loss dropped their record down to 1-16. As for Mormon Trail, with the victory, they broke their five-game losing streak and moved their record to 4-9.

Coincidentally, Diagonal and Mormon Trail will both be playing East Union the next time they take the field. The Saints will head out to face the Eagles at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Maroons will host them at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
