Basketball Recap: Togiak Comes Up Short

Togiak was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They had to suffer through a 88-54 loss at the hands of the Manokotak Lynx. The Huskies were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 46-24.

Jethron Nanalook was his usual excellent self, putting up 34 points for Manokotak. The contest was Nanalook's tenth in a row with at least ten points. Donovan Gloko was another key player, scoring 12 points.

Togiak's defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Manokotak, the win was the ninth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 9-1.

Togiak didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 58-41 loss against Bristol Bay on the 1st. Manokotak does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
