Softball Recap: York County Tech Takes a Loss

York County Tech lost against Fairfield back in April of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Spartans took a 10-5 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Knights. The Spartans have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

York County Tech saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Raelynn Kelley, who went 1-for-4 with two runs and one triple. Lilly Selby also deserves some recognition as she got her first hit of the season.

York County Tech's defeat dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Fairfield, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 4-5.

Coincidentally, York County Tech and Fairfield will both be playing Bermudian Springs the next time they take the field. The Spartans will host the Eagles at 4:15 p.m. on Friday, while the Knights will host them at 4:15 p.m. on Monday.
