Softball Recap: Ashland Comes Up Short at Home Against Ontario

Ashland unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They fell just short of the Ontario Warriors by a score of 1-0 on Wednesday. Sadly, the defeat continues a streak the team started last season, making it 16 in a row.

The victory (which was Ontario's third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.

Ashland will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Bellevue at 4:45 p.m. on April 4. As for Ontario, they have already played their next game, a 6-3 defeat against Fredericktown on the 20th.
