Basketball Recap: Dubuque Senior Comes Up Short

Dubuque Senior was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They took a blow against the Wahlert Golden Eagles, falling 69-38. While losing is never fun, the Rams can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Iowa basketball rankings (they are ranked 185th, while the Golden Eagles are ranked 19th).

Dubuque Senior's loss dropped their record down to 3-11. As for Wahlert, their win bumped their record up to 10-3.

Dubuque Senior will square off against Xavier at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Xavier knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past seven matchups -- so hopefully Dubuque Senior likes a good challenge. Wahlert has already played their next contest, a 60-30 victory against Davenport West on the 25th.
