It was a good run, but Ferndale unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Saturday. They came up short against the Burlington-Edison Tigers, falling 66-46. While losing is never fun, the Golden Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked 115th, while the Tigers are ranked 18th).

Ferndale's defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 8-7. As for Burlington-Edison, their win bumped their record up to 15-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Ferndale will square off against Meridian at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Burlington-Edison, they will take on Mount Vernon at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Mount Vernon will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Burlington-Edison surely won't give up without a fight.
