Baseball Recap: Walsingham Academy Comes Up Short on the Road Against Saint John Paul the Great Catholic

Walsingham Academy had to start their season on the road on Saturday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They fell just short of the Saint John Paul the Great Catholic Wolves by a score of 4-3. The Trojans were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Wolves apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in March of 2017.

Matthew Swanson was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-3.

Coming up, Walsingham Academy will face off against Greenbrier Christian Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Saint John Paul the Great Catholic, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, a 14-3 defeat against Mechanicsville on the 1st.
