Soccer Game Preview: Godley vs. Alvarado

Godley is 0-7 against Alvarado since January of 2021 but things could change on Monday. The Godley Wildcats will welcome the Alvarado Indians at 7:00 p.m. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Godley is headed in fresh off scoring the most goals they have all season. Their defense stepped up to hand Kennedale a 2-0 shutout on Friday. The team's explosion on offense also rewarded Godley with their most commanding win of the season.

Meanwhile, Alvarado narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past Ferris 1-0. The win continues a trend for the Indians in their matchups with the Yellowjackets: they've now won five in a row.

Alvarado's one-goal win came courtesy of Miguel Mendez, which was the first he's scored this season.

Godley's victory ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-5. As for Alvarado, their win bumped their record up to 6-7.
