Softball Game Preview: Western Reserve Roughriders vs. Mapleton Mounties

For the second straight game, Western Reserve will face off against Mapleton. The Roughriders will head out on the road to square off against the Mounties at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Western Reserve has now lost ten straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since April 4.

Things were looking good for Western Reserve after they put the first run on the board on Monday, but unfortunately for them things went downhill from there. They came up short against Mapleton, falling 16-1.

Western Reserve saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Layken Barnhart, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one double. Makayla Case also deserves some recognition as she hit her first triple of the season.

Mapleton's victory bumped their record up to 9-10. As for Western Reserve, their loss dropped their record down to 2-12.
