Baseball Recap: Cheektowaga Comes Up Short

Cheektowaga was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They lost 12-2 to the Pioneer Panthers. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Chargers of the 9-2 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2024.

Cheektowaga saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Aidan Guadagno, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.

Cheektowaga's defeat dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Pioneer, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

While Cheektowaga had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
