Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only St. Helens walked away with it. They never let the Junction City Tigers get on the board and left with a 13-0 win on Friday. Considering the Lions have won 14 games by more than five runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

The victory was the third in a row for St. Helens, bringing their record up to 23-3. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.3 runs on average over those games. As for Junction City, they moved to 14-10 with that loss, which also ended their five-game winning streak.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: St. Helens beat the Tigers by a score of 13-0 later that day.
