Baseball Recap: West Noble Takes a Loss

West Noble managed to slip by Wawasee the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Chargers came up short against the Warriors on Saturday, falling 25-10. The Chargers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Warriors apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in May of 2024.

West Noble got a massive performance out of Trey Shisler, who got on base in three of his five plate appearances with three stolen bases, two runs, and one double. Shisler has become a key player for the Chargers: the team is 4-2 when he posts at least two runs, but 4-10 otherwise. Mason Taylor also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen bases of the season.

West Noble has been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-12 record this season. Wawasee's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-18.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Warriors beat West Noble by a score of 10-7 later that day.
