Football Game Preview: Lakeview Bulldogs vs. Struthers Wildcats

Lakeview is 2-8 against Struthers since October of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Bulldogs will look to defend their home field against the Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Lakeview's offense might be in the hot seat on Friday considering what happened against Girard on Friday. They were outmatched by the Indians and fell 35-0. Having soared to a lofty 35 points in the game before, the Bulldogs' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Meanwhile, Struthers played a tough contest on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They came up short against Hubbard, falling 31-6. While losing is never fun, the Wildcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio football rankings (they are ranked 422nd, while the Eagles are ranked 175th).

Lakeview's defeat dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Struthers, their loss dropped their record down to 0-6.

Things could have been worse for Lakeview, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 27-9 loss to Struthers in their previous matchup back in October of 2024.
